New News

Things are looking up. I had sushi and martinis with my best friend last night, which was awesome, and after I got paid last Thursday all the bills were paid on time. My husband gets paid this Thursday, which will cover the rest of the bills this month. After my next paycheck we'll start seeing money saved instead of money spent. It'll be a good feeling.

Not much else is going on my censored life. I've been disiplining myself by packing my lunch for work. My husband does it, so there's no reason I shouldn't. Eating out for lunch gets expensive.

One of my co-workers is writing a children's book, and she asked me to do the illustrations for it. I'm so excited! Everythings turning out really good so far. I've been working on the characters, which are coming out beautifully.. for animals anyway. The story is about a baby crocodile who's a vegetarian, and his family doesn't get him, and the other animals are afraid of him. The book is a lesson in it being okay to be different. Good stuff for kids to learn.

All Work and No Pay

Right now, I'm at a loss. I had to spend $15.50 out of what little bit was left after rent for gas this morning, which means I'll have to replace it Friday after I get paid. The deal in our house is that my husband and I both put $500 from each paycheck each week into the financial account, and everything else after that goes into our personal accounts. Well, that's great and all, but I only have $3 in my personal account until Friday. Needless to say, I have nothing for lunch today. I ate breakfast, but I work 10 hours today, so my bloodsugar is going to plummet before I can get anything to eat tonight. I don't think I've ever been this broke in my working life. I just pray my check had some overtime or something on it, because I don't know what I'll do if there's barely enough to cover what I need for bills... and groceries.. and gas..
